The week after – PART III

PART III – PART II – PART I

Being a bride has undoubtedly been the most overwhelming feeling in my life. The ups and downs have felt so much larger than the daily monotony where what to wear was the biggest dilemma of my life. While I sit and reminisce the moments from my wedding and uber glam honeymoon with my life partner I can’t help but tear up thinking about every bit of effort and dedication that has gone in to make the beginning of my new life so breathtakingly beautiful.

Sitting in front of all the album I am so overwhelmed by the pain taken to create each piece making every piece a master piece for every bride rather every woman who wears it, and the memories so fresh in my mind that it almost feels like yesterday that I stepped into my new life.  Even this morning wearing the delicate Gwen hoops enhanced the simple attire and made it look as if I was ready for a party and not for the first day in my new house.

Yes, how could I forget, the beautiful adhira polka set that my mother in law so lovingly gave me for my wedding and the beautiful pendant and cufflinks that my parents gave their son in law and of course the enamouring diamond-studded watch that I got from my beloved on our wedding night.

Looking back now I realize how this day comes only once in a lifetime and our parents make a collection of clothes and jewellery so lovingly so that each and every piece is not only precious but a masterpiece on its own. Each and every day of our life we use these same pieces of jewellery and can’t even imagine the hard work and efforts of the people making them.

Curious what happens through the rest of Mrs. Khanna’s newlywed week as a bride, watch this space for more…
