THE CONCEPT BEHIND THE WATCH
Powered by an automatic movement, the 30 mm True Star Sign features four diamond indexes and a blue mother-of-pearl dial inspired by the night sky. The zodiac constellation appears on the lower hemisphere of the dial, and the name of the sign is written out at nine o’ clock. The constellation shines bright against the celestial backdrop of the dial with a shimmering sprinkle of diamonds and tiny star appliqués.
PLASMA CERAMIC
The True Star Sign is crafted from one of Rado’s signature materials – plasma high-tech ceramic. During the pioneering plasma process, gases activated at 20,000ºC change the molecular composition of finished ceramic so that its surface evinces a warm metallic shine – without the use of metal. Just like other Rado watches with high-tech ceramic construction, the True Star Sign reaps the benefits of the material by being lightweight, scratch resistant, and hypoallergenic.
