Bliss!! Waking up to a new ambiance with a new person sleeping on my bed. The man who will be my world after my dad whom I left behind to enter my new home. The fresh new feeling of a being a newlywed, exciting and enthralling all the same. Mrs. Khanna! I’m still getting used to the ring of it!
Being a bride has literally been my dream comes true, a dream that I lived and relived in my imagination through every day of being a little girl. A week just a week of leaving the cozy arms of my mother ,with a princess wedding and a fairytale honeymoon. I wake up to wearing a beautiful designer mangalsutra designed for me. A symbol of faith , protection and love . A cosmic swirl solitaire ring shines on my finger. Another symbol of the eternal love I have found for life, my ream now glitters on me like my new found reality.
Fondly touching my jewellery given by my parents who so painstakingly picked up every piece for every occasion and to my choice I recollect the past week where I wore a different piece for each day. Every piece of jewellery so fine and so delicate carrying fond memories that I would carry with me forever. The doorbell breaks my trance as an early morning delivery is about to brighten my day- my wedding photographs are here!
Flipping through the pages I notice, every bedazzled piece of glittery glam that I flaunted while I married my best friend in an elaborate ceremony in Thailand. The sangeet had me in a polka pearl and diamond set specially crafted and designed with a lehenga in pink to match it.
